Weekly Report Week # 1

While we did keep up with some studies this summer we didn't accomplish nearly as much as I had hoped to. That being said I have already thrown my year plans off quite a bit and we will have to be very diligent in order to accomplish all that I hope to for the year. After a recent trip to California, visiting with friends and family- once again everyone's biggest concern/question about homeschooling was about how the kids were being "socialized"
It is so funny that they would even ask as almost every one of those same people spent a lot of time praising me and the kids for how well behaved, nice, fun the kids were- LOL!

Anyways here is an interesting study that relates...

Sight Word Test

I am so proud of how DD is reading these days! She has come along way from the beginning of the year! It was my biggest fear this school year- teaching her to read. I am so glad that what we are doing is working and she is beginning to like to read!
I tested her again today on her Sight Words. She improved SO much almost a perfect score on both tests! (A perfect score is 108)

SIGHT WORDS LEVEL A
9/08= 29
11/08= 68
2/09= 82
5/09= 103

SIGHT WORDS LEVEL B
2/09= 60
5/09= 100
