We had a very productive week! Finally back in the swing of things I think! No playdates this week, none worked out due to conflicting schedules- but it did give us more time for fun art projects! All in all a very good week :)

Made Egyptian Death Masks (Fun Project!!Paper Mache)
"Colored Glass" project (melting crayons, cutting them in shapes of blown glass balls- We were all very interested to learn about the Phoenicians beginning this beautiful art! We have been to watch glass blowers many times and own a few pieces ourselves- we had no idea it had such a historic beginning!)
Listened to Bach throughout the week
Listened to our new compilation CD that has a variety of great composers- (Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, etc.)
READING-
Continued to read aloud from "Among the Imposters" Ch #3-21

When we read the chapter about the Phoenicians - the kids wanted to make purple dye by boiling snails... I had to say, "NO WAY!" ;D
Looks like it was a great week. Love the masks and the picture of Ry and Chandler together. Congrats to Ryleigh again!
